This is a renewal of an existing millage and costs the average Genesee County homeowner about $7 per month to keep the county's world-class cultural institutions available to children, schools, families, seniors and the public.
If passed, each institution would be required to have an annual independent audit to show taxpayers how the money is being spent. Funds generated by the renewal are subject to annual independent audits to promote transparency and fiscal responsibility.
